Aisa has over twenty years of experience in Oriental Dance, also known as belly dancing, to include Arabic and Greek style cabaret. Folkloric styles taught range from Egypt, Persian Gulf States, Tunisia, Turkey, and Greece. Paid performances occurred in nightclubs, restaurants, festivals, weddings, private parties, and seminar shows throughout Houston, other major cities in Texas, and the continental United States. Aisa has studied with national and international teachers such as Ibrahim Farrar, Helena Vlahos, Jamila and Suhaila Salimpour, Cassandra Shore, Mahmoud Reda, Faten Salameh, and many others.
Aisa gives complete breakdown of each step taught, and provides personal instruction to each student.She strives to teach the students correct posture, breathing techniques, and how to avoid injuries.For advanced students, Aisa focuses on stage entrances, exits, music interpretation, stage presence, working with props, and choreography.
In addition to teaching Belly Dancing, Aisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston, College of Technology, and serves as Vice-President for Dance From the Heart (non-profit).
